The redesigned M2 Element Ready™ subwoofers bring unmatched reliability and deep, powerful bass, with enhanced responsiveness and superior thermal management. Built to handle any adventure, they were engineered to endure the toughest conditions.
The subwoofers are designed to pair with the Rockford Fosgate RF Connect App and Color Optix™ controller (PMX-RGB required) through its Deutsch™ and Amphenol™ connectors integrated into the basket. To streamline installation, M2 subwoofers are equipped with a VersaSwitch™ to make changing impedance between 1Ω and 4Ω as easy as flipping a switch.
Since this subwoofer is optimized for Infinite Baffle installations, a mounting baffle is required to adequately isolate the front and rear wavelengths.

Introducing the next generation of M2 Subwoofers!
This improved surround uses a supercritical synthetic organic polymer created through an NDCI (Nano-Cell Direct Injection) molding process. This high efficiency design offers low distortion with low-end bass extension in a surround technology resistant to dry rot.
The spider spacer helps dissipate thermal build-up across the suspension by using heat-sinking aluminum material on the outside of the spider.
The voice coil former is comprised of a high-performance composite material (polyimide resin glass & epoxy resin glass fiber) rigorously tested to withstand extreme heat. This material has low magnetic susceptibility and is an insulator to prevent inductive effects and eddy currents, resulting in minimal motor distortion.
The Wet Wound Voice Coil technique is used for high temperature applications that – once baked – create a molecular cross-linked bond to eliminate air gaps between the windings. This offers several advantages, for high-power applications, including improved adhesion for durability, enhanced heat dissipation for higher power handling, and higher precision for reliability.
The composite Aramid-Polyester spider features a liquid polymer with nanoparticles applied to the fabric to create a transparent protective layer. This allows the spider to breathe yet prevents water from passing through. It also includes four clamping rings to lock the spider to the landing, preventing it from lifting under high excursion conditions.
The pole piece uses a voice coil direct venting array system to further dissipate heat generated by the voice coil.
