The PRIME R1200-1D is an ultra-efficient mono amplifier for cars and trucks that can produce 1,200 Watts into a 1-Ohm load without taxing the electrical system. The frequency response of the R1200-1D is optimized exclusively for use with subwoofers.

The Prime R1200-1D subwoofer amplifier offers high efficiency through the implementation of its Class-D circuitry while delivering rich, full bass to any system. This car amplifier is optimized for subwoofers with the implementation of an infrasonic filter to keep those ultra-low (inaudible) bass notes from damaging your subwoofer system. Match with a 4-channel stereo amplifier for your mids/highs and you'll have a Rockford Fosgate system that any Car Audio Fanatic will envy.

Great amp for the $
I am an audio but and have been for years. This amp delivers nicely what they claim it to do. It’s more powerful than disclosed and when paired with 2 p3d4 12” subs. It will knock your head off. However I will warn you, it is thirsty for power. So MAKE SURE to do a big 3 upgrade to your electrical system along with standard wiring. Make sure your wires are all OFC and connections are tight. I initially used cca wire and it ended up getting hot enough to melt the housing holding the fuse under the hood.
Again this is a powerful amp, you won’t be sorry using it. I have upgraded to a power series amp and removed this, but this amp worked very well
