Rockford Fosgate Gets Sideways!

This week Rockford Fosgate finalized an agreement with Slipstream Global Marketing to become the official audio supplier of the Formula Drift Series. As part of this sponsorship Rockford Fosgate will be exhibiting at all six of the series events in 2005:
• April 16th - New Jersey
• May 7th - Atlanta
• June 11th - Houston
• July 9th - Sonoma
• August 6th - Chicago
• August 28th – California

The Rockford Fosgate booth will include product displays and the latest award-winning demo vehicle. The Rockford Fosgate event team will be on site to field questions from consumers as well. Drifting is all about car control. Getting sideways but maintaining full control over the car through a set course. Points are awarded based on entry speed, drift angle and style. The field is rounded down through process of single elimination. The top drivers then go head to head in a tandem drift with both drivers taking to the course in a lead-follow format. The winner moves on and the loser goes back to the pits. Rockford also plans to sponsor the premier US drift team, Drift Alliance featuring JR Gitten, Chris Forsberg, Ryan Hampton and Tony Angelo. This will help to activate the series sponsorship giving the fans in the stands a kick ass team to cheer for – all wearing Rockford Fosgate gear! Rockford Fosgate plans to bring their dealers into the mix as well with the overall goal of getting local dealers in the cars for the “sideways” ride of their life.
