Rockford Fosgate Debuts Punch Twin Drive Components at 2004 CES

20 years, 10 months ago Tempe, AZ

Tempe, Ariz. Rockford Fosgate, manufacturer of high performance car audio, announces the launch of the Punch Twin Drive Component Series at the 2004 CES (booth #814). The new 2004 Punch Components, scheduled to ship in February 2004, offer incredible flexibility by giving the consumer the choice of configuring the speakers for a sound quality or SPL application.

"High quality components combined with a series of possible applications that far surpass our competition make the 2004 Punch Twin Drive Component Series a definite consideration for the first time consumer as well as the avid enthusiast," explains Ron Trout, Rockford Fosgate managing director. "The twin drive coaxial and the twin drive component are ideal for SPL configurations while the standard coaxial with sound stage lift kit is perfect for SQ consideration."

Adds Jake Braaten, Rockford Fosgate product manager, "Each speaker offers dual tweeters with the ability to remove and relocate one tweeter in another location. This solution solves many problems associated with factory speaker locations. One tweeter can be mounted high in the door while the other tweeter remains with the midrange. This feature combined with the dedicated passive crossovers creates an audiophile system at a moderate price point."

2004 Punch Component features include:

Mica filled injection molded polypropylene cones

Polyurethane surrounds

Twin drive dual ¾” aluminum dome tweeters

Multi-mount tweeter options

12 dB lowpass/12 dB high pass compact crossover

Grills and mounting hardware included

High power handling – 60 watts RMS/120 watts peak
