Rockford Fosgate Adds 2-Ohm SVC P1 Subwoofers To Acclaimed Punch Family
Rockford Fosgate, the industry leader in high-performance car audio systems, announced that it will introduce the latest additions to its acclaimed Punch P1 subwoofer line at The Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas, Nev. from Jan. 8-10, 2013, in The Palms Ballroom. The all new P1S2-8 8-inch, P1S2-10 10-inch, P1S2-12 12-inch, and P1S2-15 15-inch 2- Ohm SVC models round out the P1 subwoofer series, and are scheduled to ship in late January 2013.
“The highly efficient design of our all new Klippel-verified 2-ohm, SVC PUNCH Series subs require minimal input power in order to deliver award winning sound quality and deep, full bass at an even more impressive price point,” said Jake Braaten, director of new product development. “Adding these four 2-Ohm models to our existing P1 Series 4-Ohm models make PUNCH the most well-rounded and affordable sub series available.”
The single 2-ohm voice coil configuration in the P1 series is designed to maximize the output of Rockford Fosgate’s mono-block amplifiers. The anodized aluminum voice coil former with spun laced Nomex collar allows for superior heat dissipation (100 degrees cooler at full power levels), and the hard anodized finish increases former strength.
