The 2017+ Subaru Impreza features an optional ecoPUNCH audio upgrade available as an Accessory to improve the non-branded factory system.
Developed with Subaru’s Accessory Department, installed by Subaru, but designed and engineered by Rockford Fosgate. The ecoPUNCH system is an economical and efficient upgrade over the factory non-branded sound system. Only components that need upgrading are replaced. In case of the Subaru, front door speakers were upgraded to long-throw 6x9 drivers that mate perfectly with the factory tweeters and deliver the PUNCH with authority. The Flex41 DSP amplifier uses it’s 300 watts of power and 32-bit Digital Signal Processor to more than double the Sound Pressure Level (SPL), tune all the speakers to arrive aligned at the listener and create a natural soundstage with audiophile clarity.
This technology precisely tailors the audio signal to each speaker based on the unique interior acoustics. Utilizing a Digital Signal Processor (DSP) tuning technology is like having a computer inside the amplifier. The DSP precisely tailors factors like equalization and signal timing to provide a clear and accurate sound stage.
Provides incredible "instantaneous" power for clean PUNCH bass sound.
Discrete MOSFET Subwoofer Channel output circuits provide incredible "instantaneous" power, and is an important key to creating the powerful and clean PUNCH bass sound.
This high efficiency amplifier design reduces current consumption from the vehicle's charging system while producing high power for the audio system. This Green topology offers a great compromise of efficiency -to- power output compared to traditional Class A/B designs.
